Ah, love stories.

When it comes to movies, nothing beats a good love story. I'm a hopeless romantic, so my favorite movies tend to be sappy — and occasionally funny — love stories. Here are a few of my favorites:

1. Pride & Prejudice. This is my favorite movie of all time. Jane Austen sure did know how to write a great love story! I can't even put into words how much I love this movie!

2. Sense and Sensibility. Beautiful story and a great cast: Alan Rickman, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet. Simply awesome!

3. Titanic. I saw this James Cameron epic masterpiece in the theater seven times. I don't share that information with just anyone, so you faithful Patch readers should consider yourselves lucky. Then again, I don't feel totally ashamed about this anymore because I've met a few others who saw Titanic in the theater as many times as I did. And I should mention that when this movie is re-released in 3D in April, I'll be back at the theater once again!

4. Return to Me. If you haven't seen this movie, you really should. It's full of Chicago-area scenery and references, and it's just a beautiful love story. And if you're a fan of The X-Files like I am, you'll enjoy seeing David Duchovny show off his sappier side.

5. Bridget Jones's Diary (and its sequel). I'm basically obsessed with all things British - and this movie does not disappoint. The ending always makes me cry a little, and Colin Firth is just superb.

6. All of the Twilight Saga movies. OK, they're not the best movies ever — but I love them anyway. And in case you're wondering, I'm Team Edward.
