Two Men Disrupt Santorum Rally, Kiss As They Are Thrown Out

Protesters gathered at Rick Santorum's rally in Arlington Heights.

Two men who kissed one another were kicked out of presidential candidate Rick Santorum’s rally Friday evening at Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights.

Santorum was 15 minutes into his speech when the two men shouted and got the attention of the crowd. They exchanged a kiss, prompting guards to eject them and the crowd to chant “U-S-A” while they were leaving the gym.

When asked whether the kiss was a public display of affection or merely a symbolic act, Timothy Tross of Lombard and Ben Clifford of Algonquin, declined to comment.

“I don’t think the message should be about what my sexuality is,” Tross said. “It’s the message that he’s saying about sexuality that matters.”

About 50 protesters lined the street before the rally with signs that read “LGBT No H8,” “Catholics Against Santorum” and “If I incorporate myself, would you treat me like a person?” LGBT activist Matt Muchowski, who created the Facebook group “Carmel Catholic Alumni Against Rick Santorum,” planned the protest.

Santorum spent his senior year at Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein and graduated in 1976.

“We feel it is important to counter Santorum’s anti-gay hate, to set an example to students,” Muchowski said. “Rick sends a message of bullying, but we want high school students to know that other alumni send a message of equality.”

The crowd of protesters, which was described as "mild" by police, was mostly in support of Obama, although there were a couple of Ron Paul fans in the mix. And while some were Carmel alumni, others were there because they heard about it in the news.

Husband and wife, Scott and Sue Delabruere, who went to school when the now-Christian Liberty Academy used to be Arlington Heights High School, said they came because they are both strong supporters of gay rights.

"There was something that bothered us about having someone so offensive in our hallowed halls," Sue Delabruere said.

Santorum's lllinois campaign director, Jon Zahm, estimated 2,100 people were in attendance at the rally—most being strong supporters.

James Doyle, a Mt. Prospect resident, said he came to the rally because he wanted to hear what the former Pennsylvania senator had to say, although he will likely cast his vote for Mitt Romney Tuesday.

“I cannot afford four more years of Obama and his ObamaCare, increased taxes and TARP,” Doyle said.

Leslie Bukowski from Cary, echoed Doyle’s sentiment: “I would vote for anyone who would be better than Obama, and any of them could be better.”

She said she likes Santorum’s social values, but she is more concerned about the economy and jobs. Rather than hearing about how Santorum’s opponents are wrong, she wanted to hear why Santorum is right for the job of presidency.

Santorum's speech focused largely on the importance of the 2012 election and criticized President Barack Obama's commitment to entitlement programs.

"We need a president who understands that America is the greatest country in the history of the world and what we’ve done across this country, across this world, it’s not oppress, it’s not invade, we are not invaders, we are not people that seek gain of territory, oil, property," Santorum said. "What we seek is security for ourselves and liberty and prosperity for others and it’s nothing to apologize for."

The Illinois 2012 primary election is Tuesday and polls show Santorum trailing front-runner Mitt Romney in the Chicago suburbs, but holding a slight lead among conservative downstate voters, according to the Huffington Post.

Shockingly poor writing by the Patch. Absolutely stunning the journalism on display here. For those in attendance at the rally, there was a gym packed full of people eager to hear Rick's speech. The protestors were a very minor part of the evening. There were a few protestors outside, a very small number compared to the number who came to support Rick. While he was giving his speech, someone screamed out something interrupting him. They were not kicked out because they kissed. I was there. They were kicked out because they yelled and interrupted the speech. They kissed as they were being taken out. What a very said display of "journalism". But, anything to get the web site hits I guess! Anything to get people riled up!

The article title should be a clue to you that it is not about what Santorum was speaking about. The article was about someone protesting Santorum's beliefs/running platform. If you want a recap of what was said I suggest look for an article that has an appropriate title.

Integrity and truth haven't been prevailent in the media for a very long time. They use the air waves to promote their choice. And they sway the voters towards their candidate by using catch phrases like "a vote for him is a wasted vote. and some other phrases just as bad. The perfect example is this. They don't want Santorum to win, so they will smear him with their little misrepresentations.

One more thing; why does the Patch do this slanted reporting with a title (heading) like it did, as if there were a few hundred people that showed up to protest Santorum's stand on gay's when it was a couple of people and a couple more people and their impressionable small children holding signs. Kids can't vote and shouldn't be used "pawned" for this purpose, at least I wouldn't subject my children to this, so why are they. Don't feel secure enough on your own?

I agree. The report claims that there were 50 people protesting outside of a large rally of Santorum supporters, and from the photo I can tell that is a questionable number in the first place, but why should this garnish any attention from the media? My second question is, why did these people exploit their children by bringing them out there to hold signs they obviously didn't make themselves and are too young to understand?

Rosa Parks was one woman who wouldn't give up her seat to a white man on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Ala. If "no joke" was directing the coverage of that story, s/he would want the headline to read "Almost unanimous compliance with bus segregation policy". Yet we know that the simple act of this one woman brought down the institution of Jim Crow and led to widespread and irreversible changes nationwide.
These two young men did a simple thing: they kissed and got thrown out of a presidential contender's rally for that. And yet that simple act — right in front of Rick Santorum, who refused to stop their ouster from the rally — points up Santorum's intolerance for 10 percent of the American population (the same as the black population that was being discriminated against intolerably in the 1950s) and will signal to all decent, freedom-loving Americans that Santorum is no more fit for the nation's highest office than were George Wallace or Strom Thurmond or the other racist Southerners of the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. We don't tolerate the intolerant. Not with the presidency. It just doesn't work that way.

I don't care who the homosexual people want and do sleep with. I was only commenting on the fact that the writer of the article wasn't focused on the correct news. The two guys were making a disturbance so they could get thrown out. Their obvious agenda was to then kiss when they were being thrown out. I question if they are even gay. It was a prank to get attention. Children shouldn't be subjected to any of this stuff (political stuff!). Just like they shouldn't be used at pro-life rallies or pro- abortion rallies. Leave the kids out of this stuff, let them be kids and when they grow of age they can decide on their own. Santorum isn't someone I support anyway. Why is it that so many jump to conclusion? I don't support Rick Santorum. Go Ron Paul, the only honest candidate. I will never support Obama again.

You said “Leave the kids out of this stuff, let them be kids and when they grow of age they can decide on their own. ”Children LEARN what we teach them. If we teach them HATRED and BIGGOTRY they will learn it and practice it the rest of their lives (unless Hopefully somewhere along the line they are taught and learn differently as an adult)!

I wouldn't do it. If you want to take your grand kids to some politically charged event, go ahead. You do a lot of yelling and portray an angry man pretty well. Did your wife like that? Did your kids learn that from you too? Lighten up before you have a heart attack and Obama has one less vote.

Rick Santorum is a fool. He makes that clear every time he opens his mouth to speak. He doesn't have the fundamental understanding of what it means to be Christian. He does, however, have his right to a rally, and all in attendance had the right to listen to his speech without an interruption of any kind by anyone in the audience. Protesters have their right to be heard also, but not in the manner exhibited as reported in this article. I wouldn't want protesters interrupting my candidate of choice and the opposing side shouldn't be subjugated to such an act either.

This is interesting. I just logged back in to check on this story and now Ms Ziegelbauer has changed the title of her story. Maybe the editor should review these stories a little closer before they let their journalists (and I use that word loosely) overly slant the article to fit their narrow view of the world and play partisan politics. I'm still baffled though why the title has to include the two guys kissing at all. I wasn't there, but from the above comments of people who were, it is clear that they were just disruptive idiots pandering for their gay causes and trying to slander a candidate. The Patch, and obviously the writer, somehow feel it is necessary to mention the two gays kissing when it was not pertinent to the story (and I'm not sure there was even a story at all). Ms. Ziegelbauer should be excused from her duties with the Patch.

Why is it when something happens that upsets some views that all of a sudden it's considered shoddy journalism? The fact that they kissed is important because it hits directly at Santorum's beliefs. It looks like the author reported on what happened. And some of you people (and I use that term loosely) find it easier to attack the journalist than to actually express your views like adults. Unethical? Your 14th Century beliefs are sadly unethical.

I will repeat myself for the last time for those who were not there last night: The 2 men were not escorted out because they kissed. They were causing a disruption by screaming during a presidential candidate's speech and causing an unnecessary disruption. The decided to kiss as they were being told to leave. They are free to protest and speak their minds, but the polite thing to do is do it outside so as not to cause unnecessary drama and disruption to the event. It was selfish and immature to scream during someone's speech. End of story. The evening was not about those two, not by a long shot. But that's the headline of course. The original title for this story was "Two Men Kiss, Get Ejected From Santorum Rally" but was later changed after several posts disputed it's accuracy. The facts were that the men were shouting over the speaker, as he was speaking. They were escorted out because they would not settle or quiet down. As they were leaving, they kissed. It wasn't a big deal. No one really cared that they kissed. It was more of a peck. Again, no big deal. The fact that the journalist changed the order of events is a big deal.

I wanted to thank everyone for their feedback on this story. I view Patch as a place where people can express a diverse range of opinions and viewpoints.

I did want to point out that we probably ran half a dozen stories on presidential visits in the last couple of days, and many of those stories included comments critical of President Obama and his policies. Many began with those criticisms.

This story included comments by people critical of Rick Santorum's views on homosexuality. The kiss, in my view, was part of the protest. Also, the second half of the story does include the point of view of people who were there to support Santorum.

Brian, all gay people want is to be treated EQUALLY. Not as subservient second class citizens. Sure they want to be left alone in the case of WITCH HUNTS where they can be fired just for being gay. If you are, can you be fired because you are straight? NO YOU CANNOT. Does a straight man get thrown out because you kiss your wife or girlfriend? NO YOU DO NOT. As is the case here, two gay men kissing in the Santorum Camp is a major disruptive event. As a straight man can you visit your wife in the hospital? SURE YOU CAN. Until recently a gay man could not visit his partner in the hospital, even if that person was dying. Can your wife leave your estate to you without question? Sure she can. Can a gay man leave his estate to his male partner in many states, NO HE CANNOT! Some states can override the will and take the money and give it to whomever protests about it (usually a biological sibling or parent). I suggest these people pull their heads out of the sand and look around at the inequalities that still exist in the United States of America towards gays and anyone who is different. Regardless, having traveled around the world many times with my work and seen dozens of governments and peoples, I still proudly choose to call the United States of America my home.

Mike, Those people were, in fact, booooooed out by all of us who took the time from our busy lives to come and listen to a man of honor, Rick Santorum, speak. They were NOT kicked out because they kissed. They were kicked out because they were so rude and inconsiderate as to start screaming out as Mr. Santorum spoke, and AFTER they had grabbed the crowd's attention ~ then, they kissed. Why is it that the very group that whines that no one will give them respect are the ones who verbally and physically attack those that believe differently?? Glittering Newt, Attempted glittering of Romney, screaming out and acting out during Rick Santorum's speech was inappropriate behavior on the part of the people who were acting out. Why do YOU have no respect for the beliefs of others? This was not a rally held for the purpose of promoting gays, it was a rally for Rick Santorum, why didn't they respect Rick Santorum? Not that Obama's policies have anything to do with this story, but he's raised everyones taxes. No, not yet, but just wait until his health care plan and his alternative energy plan regulations kick in. I agree we need to repair our health care system and explore green energy, but his idea of making the government the center controlling/dictating designer of these crutical life elements have got to be stopped NOW NOT LATER.

Don't these idiots realize that it was G. W. BUSH who setup and put the tax cuts in question all the time to expire?? HELLO .. DUH???? President Obama EXTENDED the BUSH TAX CUTS to help working Americans…He did not raise the taxes. Did President Obama not also give a FICA tax cut last year and this year to help working Americans? YES HE DID. I am always amazed that so many people in our learned country are so stupid.

Two people kissing...what has this World come to? Sadly it's not two people kissing, it's that some small minded folks think only "certain" people should be allowed to kiss. With Mr. Santorums rampent homophobia and disapproval of Equal Rights for all Americans, does he really thinK he's going to make it through this campaign without folks who heckle and disrubt his events? Sooner or later he's going to have to come into the real World and deal with it rather than running from it.

Second, WHAT ON EARTH DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH BEING THE PRESIDENT?!! It's astounding, the level of ignorance displayed by so many people (not all those commenting here, of course). By the way, while I won't vote for Santorum or Obama, what I WILL do is use my common sense and critical thinking skills (passe, I know) to investigate, to the best of my ability, the actual records, experience, and directly stated intentions of any of the other candidates, and make the best choice I can. Here we go with the gays now. Back in the 60's the gays just wanted to be left alone to do their "thing". Then they wanted you to know what their "thing" was. Now it's "this is my thing" and YOU are to accept it even if they have to come to your churches, your meetings, your houses, everywhere. If you don't agree with their "thing" they now call it hate......... Incredible.

Laws will be passed to make everybody HAVE to like their "thing". If you don't, then you will be thrown in jail, sued, harassed by these people who years past just wanted to be left alone doing their "thing".

Years ago I had a gay person in my town grassroots Anti-Illegal immigration group. I had no problem with a gay person in the group. HE eventually left the group for his own reasons. I would never have told him he wasn't wanted as long as the topic he was in the group for was fighting illegal immigration.

It seems to me this gay couple went a bit overboard here. This wasn't the right place for this. These gays wanted to make a scene and they did, what did they expect? I would bet If Santourum was at a PRO gay meeting and he disrupted the speaker HE would have been ejected too.

Joe it seems you have what I call the "Ostrich Syndrome". You seem to live with your head in the sand buried and only look up and see what you want to see. You have a VERY NARROW MINDED look up the gay society as a whole. Gay men and women have wanted equal rights since time began. I do not know where “YOU” got the impression that gay men and women just wanted to be left alone and “do their thing” as you so eloquently put it. Sure they want to be left alone in the case of WITCH HUNTS where they can be fired just for being gay. Can you be fired because you are straight? NO YOU CANNOT. Do you get thrown out because you kiss your wife or girlfriend? NO YOU DO NOT. As is the case here, two gay men kissing in the Santorum Camp is a major disruptive event. Can you visit your wife in the hospital? SURE YOU CAN. Until recently a gay man could not visit his partner in the hospital. Can your wife leave your estate to you without question? Sure she can. Can a gay man leave his estate to his male partner in many states, NO HE CANNOT! Some states can override the will and take the money and give it to whomever protests about it (usually a biological sibling or parent). I suggest you pull your head out of the sand and look around you at the inequalities that still exist in the United States of America which I Proudly choose to call home.

To be this way a person needs to divide the target group or groups from the masses. That's all he is doing. He is like the two guys kissing, just on the other side of the rope. Santorum said, "...what we’ve done across this country, across this world, it’s not oppress, it’s not invade, we are not invaders, we are not people that seek gain of territory, oil, property," Santorum said. "What we seek is security for ourselves and liberty and prosperity for others and it’s nothing to apologize for."
What planet is this guy from? We have military installations in over 110 nations in the world. Is the reason for that "our security"? Why don't China, Russia, Germany, France, Great Britain, India, and other nations have dozens of troop deployments around the world? Don't they care about "their security"?

xnlover, first, what we seek IS most certainly, liberty for ourselves and those that are being tormented, tortured and imprisoned by their own leaders. We do not take territory and claim it for our own. And, please don't bring up the idea that we took lands from the Native Americans. In their own words, they did not "own" lands and they had no government to overthrow. And, it has little to do with what is happening in the world today. Second, we do set up military bases around the world to keep peace and protect others. "For everyone to whom much is given, of him shall much be required." -- Luke 12:48. Many, many times it is the "people" of these countries that are thankful to see us, even if their government isn't. We can not, in good conscience, stand by and let people be tortured. And third, other nations do have military bases around the world. Those that don't, are either too poor or disinterested in humanitarian works. Would you truly be happy if the United States had no foreign military bases and were not involved in worldly associations? Would you still feel safe, and free to do as you please? Do you think each country should "mind their own business?"

The reality is that our national government - whether the Democrats or the Republicans are in power - is a toady to corporate interests, and anything that serves those interests - including have unlimited access to oil, rare earth minerals, cheap labor, unlimited loans, or whatever corporations need is what government sees as its responsibility to gain, at whatever cost in killing and having our young men and women put their lives on the line - and sometimes sacrifice them - for the enrichment and success of those corporate interests. That Santorum isn't being honest about this is due either to his lying about it or to his being ignorant of it - and in either case, that disqualifies him to be the leader of the nation that operates in such a way as that.
Besides that, anyone who can't even organize a political campaign that gets him on every available primary ballot, so that people can vote for him clearly lacks the organizational skills to run a presidential administration. We need to take a lesson from the fact that even the people of Pennsylvania didn't return Santorum to the US Senate after his second term. If Pennsylvanians don't care for his leadership, the nation would be ill advised to elect him to an even higher office.

Rick Santorum chose to run from a the narrow road on his religious beliefs. If you want to disagree there are rules for that. If you cross the centerline you get a refresher on the rules.
USA! USA! USA! Why are they chanting that? Because they don't want this country pock marked with craters. Too long politicians run on God Bless America, and whatever the hell its doing.
If you're human you've suffered pain. I don't want to spend eternity like that, not even purgatory where you're good to go after 160 years or so. You think Olympic gold comes easy? God put us in a sometimes cruel test whether you want to run the race or not. You're in it. Some people don't choose religious life because its cushy and vows of poverty assure you of everything you need.
Also Apostles don't always take their info from other people, because God said He would reveal Himself. If you play hardball you get news.

I wholeheartedly disagree with your assertion that Jesus came to teach love and that this means "anything goes" or you are hateful. If you wish to be Biblical, Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. Not one time do we read of Jesus endorsing unscriptural behavior (aka. sin). He confronted it and always said, "Go and sin no more." I can assure you that based upon what Scripture tells us, Jesus would in no way approve of these two guys. Yes, he would love them, but he would rebuke their behavior. Christianity does NOT mean "anything goes."

Love in no way means you agree with everything somebody does. Ask any parent that. If a kid breaks curfew by staying out 2 hours late, does a parent say, "Oh that's ok, as long as you are happy." Or does the parent punish that child. Or would punishing be "hate"....Some people seem to be "haters of Christians" because of rude comments and name-calling I've seen. That comes closer to hate than just disagreeing with someone.

And yes, Jesus did teach love. But look at some things my loving Savior did:

Mark 10:17-22 - A rich ruler came to Jesus asking him what to do to inherit eternal life. He had kept all the commandments. Jesus told him one thing lacked was he needed to sell all he had. Jesus knew he loved his riches more too much. The man went away sad. Does this sound like a nice and loving thing Jesus did?
Mark 11:15-18 - He was so angry at the money changers in the temple who were selling animals for sacrifice, he turned over all their tables and drove them out, and said "Is it not written, ‘MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL THE NATIONS’? But you have made it a ROBBERS’ DEN.” He was hated for doing this. Yes, Jesus loves people, but he doesn't always love what they do.
Matthew 19:3-9 - Jesus here actually told some people that, "whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.” Can you imagine that? I know there are people today that would call that hateful.

Disagreeing is not necessarily hating.

Santorum doesn't have a problem what anyone does in the privacy of their bedroom. I have attended many campaign rallies and have never seen anyone kissing. These rallies are almost always electrically charged with exuberant exictement and the last thing most people think about in such an environement is kissing. These guys were planted in a PUBLIC forum of which there were people in attendance who follow the dictates and commands contained in the Holy Scriptures and they would not want their children witnessing behavior which they find immoral. It should no more be forced upon them than a gay man being forced to take a woman as a life partner. The problem with gays in this current society is not whats good for the goose is good for the gander, its whats good for the goose is good for goose and screw the gander. Kind of a pathetically selfish mentality.

That list includes a MAJORITY of the population now living on earth. So it not only is a good idea, it is the STANDARD MODE of living on earth. Monoglottal countries are the minority, and since you are sooooo into kicking minorities, you should be screaming that America sucks because YOU can't speak Spanish.

A.M. Kelly, On F.D.R. Some of the far left historians would like you to think that's the deal but just as many if not more believe he was one of the worst. His leveraging on the country, devaluing the currency, confiscating peoples personal gold (theft) and legislative policies made the recession a depression and then Great Depression. Many world renowned economists prove it. Obama is doing some of the same moves but if he has his way it will be socialism that prevails in the end. Our senior citizens that are on fixed incomes find their monthly budget now buys much less. You need to understand that printing trillions of new dollars that are backed by nothing makes all the dollars worth less. All of you unbelievers will find out in time but right now what money you have in the bank (maybe you don't have any) is worth measurably less than it was before the grand money printing of Bernanke and Obama. You think $4.00 plus gas is a lot, you haven't seen anything yet. Food prices (do you buy food?) haven't leveled off yet and won't for a few years. Price any chocolate lately? It's only going to get worse. The Obama lead government is buying back it's own bonds at the bond auctions because China and other countries don't want to buy dollars anymore because the dollars they have are depreciating fast. Obama wants America to be a socialist country and we are staged to become that as long as people don't wake up. Vladamir Putin stated, America is becoming more socialist than Russia.

No joke. Take a step back. Historians are generally a conservative lot who, based on what he accomplished, rate FDR as one of the best presidents along with Washington and Lincoln. He lead the country through a depression and a world war. Yes, it was a depression when FDR became president in 1933 and not a recession. The stock market crashed in 1929. These dates are facts and not opinions of "far left historians".
Obama did not take over the banks or the means of production, so calling him a socialist is silly.
Whatever the Federal Reserve did or did not accomplish with their policy of quantitative easing, it was not an effort to compensate for China and other countries not wanting to buy our bonds. The US has not scared anybody away from buying bonds. That is why the interest rate remains so low. The bond market is a market! If nobody wanted to buy the bonds, the interest rates would have to be raised to get get somebody to buy them.
Real things happen in the real world. It isn't all Republican talking points presented on Fox News.
In answer to your questions, ..Sorry, to disappoint you, but in fact, I do "have money in the bank", quite a bit, actually since I've been working for over thirty five years and am near retirement. Now I have some questions: Do you have a parent or grandparents receiving Social Security?...Do they have Medicare?....If so, you and they have Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Democratic Party to thank.

Hey A.M. Kellly, F.D.R was one of the worst presidents and Obama is right there as well. It's no mystery. You probably won't live long enough to see that proved as Obamacare will be denying you coverage on a forthcoming medical need because of your age you will be told it's not cost affective and you also won't be able to buy it with all that money you have in the bank because Obamacare forbids it. You probably don't know this and also you will have mandatory death counseling instead. Oh yeah, if you have all that money you need to leave it in the bank as it will be worth a lot less soon. The QE's have marginalized the dollar and it will continue. When the dollar looses it's place as the world's reserve currency the price of gas will go through the roof and everything will be costing more than you can imagine. Every country in the world since WWII have had to stock the dollar in order to buy commodities and the U.S. has printed money with no regrets. Soon and very, very soon if Obama stays in office that will all change. No country will need to stock the dollar and everyone will be dumping it. It's obvious you don't understand commodities or currencies. The Fed sets interest rates A.M. but that will change with the dollar becoming a past world currency. Interest rates will hit the roof as no one will want to keep the dollar. Right now the U.S. is buying back their own bonds. You are uninformed and that's O.K. because your going to loose a lot of money.

Why do you say Santorum has zero chance of being president of the United States? Is it because he is a CHRISTIAN? Do you have any clue how many Christians RAN into war shoulder to shoulder with soldiers of every other denomination in the two world wars and all other wars? They ran to defend YOU and to safe guard the freedoms you enjoy every day of your life! Are you saying its ok with you for Christians to make supreme sacrifices and RUN into war to defend you and your family from evil enemies, but not ok for Christians to RUN for office of president. Well, I got news for you! The next time an enemy that would rather behead you than look at you attacks your country, many Christians may not be there to defend you. They may seek conscientious objector status because in reality they have every right to do so: THOU SHALT NOT KILL!

This has nothing to do with Santorum being a Christian. It has to do with his homophobic and bigoted beliefs. Did you hear him say the other day that he will get all pornographic material banned from the internet? The man is a radical conservative. I know hundreds of good Christian men and women who look at pornographic material weekly. Are they bad Christians, of course not? Does Santorum have the right to try to impose his will and beliefs on the rest of the country, of course not? Enough Said

Hey "no joke" I'm starting to think you are a "joke"...First, please understand the difference between "fact" and fear mongering "assertions" you couldn't back up if you tried.
I'm sorry you're so paranoid as to think President Obama is trying to kill me (and you) with "Obamacare"...Apparently you missed the memo from the president that said "If you have private health insurance you like, you can keep it"...duh...Ditto for the "Mandatory Death Counseling" (!)....Is that supposed to sound like a "reasonable" adjustment to the hillarious "Death Panel" crap Faux News was pushing awhile ago?

There's no hope for you wimps...You're scared shitless of a "black" president and that's where all your paranoid fantasies spring from, LOL.

By the way, you never answered the question: Are your parents and/or grandparents collecting Social Security benefits and Medicare?....Why not tell them to send it back so they can be free of "big gubmint"?...You can then listen to them tell you to GET YOUR HEAD examined afterwards, LOL.

James Doyle is seriously misled by FOX, et al. For his info, Obamacare is going to cost even less than they thought it would and will actually reduce, yes reduce the costs to all of us. Preventative care is always cheaper and is already reaping the rewards. Secondly, TARP was not Obama's deal...it was Bush. Obama bailed out the auto industry, much to the disgust of the right, but they paid it back with interest and have now become more successful than they have been in about 40 years. Then he stated that he is tired of higher taxes, but Obama cut taxes to the lowest levels since 1951, so not sure what planet he is living on. James, get the real news, look at the actual factual statistics and numbers. Heck, just talk to your tax man or look at your tax returns. Ignorance like yours inexcusable. Obama is showing to have been right about everything and now the economy is starting to show it...Wallstreet is up higher than it has been since 2007, before the crash, housing is recovering. Employment numbers are better than they have been since early 2008. Apparently, you really don't care about the economy because if you did, you would be shouting re-elect Obama 2012!

The cornerstone of the Democrats’ argument for health care reform was helping to insure those people with pre-existing conditions that could not find coverage. So they twisted arms, paid off senators and congressman, and rammed through a 2000+ page monstrosity that will cost somewhere around a trillion bucks, (borrowed from China). All of that so 8,011 people could sign up for pre-existing coverage. That’s right. 8,011 people! Of course that's not what it's really about or it wouldn't have taken over two thousand pages.

They then think everyone who doesn't LOOK like them, Talk like them, PRAY like them, are "inferior" and/or "scary".....They're fearful, frightened little people without much education or exposure to the world.

I find the tone of this article laughable and the comments directed towards Santorum ridiculous. First Santorum is a devout Catholic and follows his Church's beliefs to the core. I'm a Catholic also and why not as literal I respect his beliefs. If you see Santorum unedited on C-Span you see that he doesn't plan to impose his will or belief system on America.
That what Obama and the left does Obama wants to take away our liberty (how we spend our money, what we drive , what our kids eat, control our healthcare and restrict our energy choices) and impose his social utopia on us.
This President has been operating outside the limits of the Constitution tripling the national debt, nationalizing car companies, AIG, dictating corporate pay, universal healthcare, controlling energy.via regulation and recess appointments when the Senate isn't in recess. The major media in this country is a joke. They never confront him on anything and every time he makes a speech over the last 3 months it includes at least one brazen lie.
As for the Gay lobby. Conservatives don't care who you sleep with. Its just that you can't just define your lifestyle by your terms. Most people are for civil unions but stop at marriage. I laugh at the calls that conservatives like RS are intolerant. Look at the history of the gay marriage movement. They lose the public vote in almost every state then run to the courts like the 9th circuit or deep blue state assembly to get Gay marriage passed. .

Where do you get this stuff? Obama had nothing to do with AIG -- that was Bush. The "car complanies" have not been "nationalized". GM was LOANED $$ just as BUSH loaned the BANKS $$. Obama has not "tripled the National Debt". The Debt was $10.6 Trillion on 1/20/09 when he took office. It came with interest of 1/3 of a Trillion per Yr...(4x1/3 trillion = $1.3 Trillion) and Bush had already implimented the Budget for '09...with a $1.25 TRillion Deficit that went right to the Debt. The Debt now stands @ just over $14 Trillion. Control what our kids eat? Like the government has always done via our school nutrition programs? Oil production is up 50% since Obama has taken office, but you're complaining about regulation. What a bunch of rot.

First, the auto industry bail out WORKED and they have repaid every dime to the government. The government has no ownership stake in the car companies. The bail out did NOT nationalize the auto industry. The President, ANY President has the right to make recess appointments. Bush did it also. And what was Obama to do? The House Repugs have been blocking appointments of judges since Obama was elected. They have even been blocking very minor government jobs that are Presidential appointments. They have done everything they can to block or hold up any action of President Obama's. He has the constitutional right to make recess appointments. President Obama did not dictate the pay of corporate bigwigs, whatever gave you that false fact? He did make a deal with any corporation that received a bailout that corporate bonuses would be held up until they repaid the money owed to the government. You must listen to Limbaugh a lot because you are repeating his outrageous lies. And when did Obama tell you what your kids can and can't eat? The Dept. of the Agriculture HAS tried to improve the nutrition in school meals, you object to that? It's up to you if you don't want your children to get at least one healthy meal a day. Anyone threaten to put you in jail because you refused to let your child eat school lunch? And last I heard there has been no law put on the books dictating what car you must drive or did I miss something there?

Obama really needs to think things through when he says things about the GOP because his words can come back to haunt him. Recently he said, "if GOP was around when Columbus set sail, they'd belong to the 'flat earth' society not believing the earth is round. Well, Obama doesn't believe that what is in a pregnant woman's womb is a baby. He claims he is a Christian, if this is true, he should know the elementary Holy Spirit inspired Gospel verse where Elizabeth says, "upon your arrival the BABY in my womb leaped for joy." (Luke 1:41) If Obama was there when Mary found herself pregnant and unmarried he and his planned parenthood ilk would have been hounding her to get an abortion because THEY belong to the "kill it cuz it ain't a baby" society. One day it will be proven without a scintilla of doubt that all these millions of abortions really did kill BABIES. Doubtful it will matter to pro abortion folks because inwardly they know its true already.

3-D ultrasounds grant expectant parents a preview their child's face without the need to make a crayon rubbing on its mother's belly. Save crayons for future kids with this Groupon. I did a copy and paste on the description of the offer. Groupon even has an image to look at with a picture of the mom. So once again the baby is called a child and this time by Groupon. Why you ask? Because it is a child. Just because you can't hear the silent scream that the child makes when the abortionist kills him or her doesn't negate the humanity of the child. Yes he or she feels being killed, that's been documented. What a price you anti- life people will pay when you meet our maker.

My son just called me three days ago to remind me that he and his wife have been married 16 years now. He told me the "Current" statistics about marriages are that 60% are now over within four years. Very Sad. When my wife and I divorced at 8 years, not one of the married couples we knew when we got married were still married. You can also let people know please that gay parents have not ever been identified as child abusers, sexually, physical or otherwise. Gay parents have to fight hard to have a child and they feel blessed when they are given the opportunity and do their best for the child.

Okay, good comments. And glad we are respectful of each other, mostly. Who is to decide what is rude and what is free speech to highlight disagreement with a candidate? I could have given Reagan the bird when he visited USC on his 80th, but though face to face, withheld my disgust.

If you want to hate people go somewhere where you can hate freely. America is not and should not be that place. Religion has no place in Government. The same people that want 'small' Government suddenly want 'big' Government when it comes to assuring the hate for others becomes law. Santorum will never become President and hopefully, other school districts will have enough since to not allow him the public forum to spread his hate in the name of 'faith, family and God'.

Cool nonviolent protest giving new meaning to make love, not war. Santorum is anti gay, anti pot, anti prostitution, anti porn, anti science, anti Muslim, anti birth control, anti abortion, and probably a lot more. As person in favor of all personal freedoms that are peacefully conducted that he's anti, I have to say Santorum would make a horrible president. But, his anti personal freedom bias is 100% conservative. He's into ecomomic freedom only. Well, except where any of the above are commercial. Still, being totally opposed to all of his social stances, I'd still vote for him for President instead of Obama. At least he's only half a wannabe dictator while Obama is has shown himself to be full service wannabe dictator. The only thing staying his hand now are a few Democrats with sense and his upcoming reelection. Once he's lame duck, he will have almost no restraint.

Kate Perhaps the people shouting USA were reminding Rick Santorum, Mr. Freedom of of Speech, that this is America and the two young men being led out of the gymnasium were entitled to their right to call him on his intolerance. They were in essence saying "Santorum! This is the USA! Where gays are people too! And have the right to kiss in public just like anyone else! Quick! Stop those free-speech-squelching security guards before they trample on these two young men's civil rights!"

Or maybe they were just a bunch of homophobic right-wing whackadoodles yelling out random letters of the alphabet. It's hard to tell.

When is the American public going to wake up and realize that Gay men and women in this country have very little equal rights. I want EQUAL RIGHTS for my friends that are gay, not special rights, JUST EQUAL RIGHTS. Here is a classic example of what goes on in our great country. A man kisses a man and chants USA and gets physically thrown out. If a man had kissed a woman and chanted USA, NOTHING WOULD HAVE HAPPENED. Almost every family in America has a member of their family or good friend that is gay. Many of you will say NO I don’t. That is exactly the problem. Most often, they dare not let you know they are gay due to the backlash that they would receive from you. Wake up America gay men and women have been in our families since time began and will be till the world ends AND there is NOTHING WRONG WITH IT.

Then they all say, once we pick a nominee, we will all rally around and support him. If I were any of these candidates, could I ever forget what the other guy/gal said about me and neither will the voters both Democrat and Republican. NOT ON YOUR LIFE. Never in my almost 60 years have I seen such a bitter and contemptuous primary season, Democrat or Republican. Than we wonder, why people have stopped voting in our country the way they used to. It is down to the lesser of two evils and knowing they are all corrupt in one way or another.

Hey Mike, this has been going on since the beginning of our country. Remember our first president, well he was a member of what became the Republican party. He refused to run for more terms because of the Kings in Europe. Obama would love to throw out everything in the constitution, declare martial law, have the military throw the congress out and be a dictator. There has always been a division of those that wanted a overly strong central (federal) government, Democrats and those that wanted more freedom and the states to have more rights, Republicans. Well that's what the parties eventually became known as. The progressives (Dem.) of a hundred years ago are responsible for the federal income tax, it was then billed much as what Obama stated; wealth redistribution, let's keep spreading the wealth were it isn't. Still hasn't worked but they keep trying. '08 it was Hillary and Obama. This time it's the other party. Romney will win. And probably the general. B.O. is a very shrewd and seasoned politician but he isn't for America, not the free one that we have known. His lies should be exposed in the coming months. The problem although is the diehards, unions, teachers, medical industry and lawyers etc. will go over a cliff following B.O. taking this country with them. They're all getting a slice of the spoils from B.O.'s legislation. Trillions in new paper dollars distributed, that's where much of the stimulus went. If you're republican you get an audit. Criminal. Jail for B.O.

Because, I doubt you know this due to how stupidly ignorant you are, we do have infertile men and women in this country in addition to straight couples who choose to be childfree.

Well lo and behold! Thanks Brian for posting this video...proof that these idiots were already being thrown out of the rally for their rude outburst, then they decided to simply make a spectacle of themselves by locking lips. Case closed! I've seen this tactic used on numerous occasions at prolife rallies my family attended, and much worse. As a matter of fact, at one rally we attended in Ohio the public lewdness of the same-sex perverts so frightened and traumatized my daughter that she burst into tears. Thankfully, some real men stood up and formed a human wall to shield our children from the obscene acts that were taking place in front of their innocent eyes. This type of public display seems to be a pattern of behavior that is committed by those who want to flaunt their perversion in public. Homosexuality is a destructive lifestyle, but I will fight for their freedom to pursue that kind of relationship as long as they are not being publicly offensive to the rest of us.

Being gay guys or women.. wouldn't bother me... but hell... I dont' care to see any couple,, yes,, even men/women kissing and carrying on in public...
A few yrs ago...I went to traffic court... damn teenager pulled out SMACK in front of me on a 4 lane highway... didn't look... I T-boned her at 50 mph. She was fine... both cars totaled... I had the bigger loss. WAY bigger... I was seriously injured... When we finally go to traffic court... She got several tickets on this one... She came with her boyfriend and sat there in court and did everything but the sex act while sitting waiting for our case... At the end the judge asked me if there was anything else I wanted to say... and I hesitantly said...Yes... So I told him I thought her behavior in the court room was "in poor taste and most inappropriate..." He agreed and gave her a stern little reprimand about how to behave decently in public...LOL I felt vindicated somewhat...

Why do the republicans hate firefighters and police officers who work for the cities and towns across this country? Why do they want to pay them a lower wage busting up their unions and not let them collectively bargain for a good salary and benefits?

Why do the republicans hate unemployment benefits so much?

Why won't the republicans tax the corporations more, and close all of their loopholes, instead of sticking it to the middle class?

Why won't the republicans eliminate the subsidies to big oil, especially now as these companies, along with the Wall St speculators are running up the price of gasoline again?

You seem to have gotten some Obamanite in your eyes. We do no that America. It is not the Republicans who are giving the Terrorist countries $billions and the American people zip. It is not the Republicans who froze our Social Security for three years, while wanting $17,000 pay raises. It is not the Republicans who want to put all the illegals in America in housing and welfare, while we are out of work. It is not the Republicans who are trying to separate America from Israel, our only real ally. While paying Palestine $900,000,000 so they can fight Israel. Palestine like other Arab countries has known Terrorists as government now. The unions are what drives our prices skyhigh, and costs us $30,000 for a Car, when it was $1,795.00 in the '60s. Time to wake up and smell the Bull Crap you are spewing out of your mouth.

Hush, Russell. You need to re-read your Bible. Sodom and Gomorrah were not destroyed by homosexual acts. They were destroyed because the people of Sodom and Gomorrah were sexually abusive. If the angels had been female, would it condemn heterosexuality? No. Read this, be enlightened: http://wouldjesusdiscriminate.org/biblical_evidence/sodom_and_gomorrah.html

Also, if we were such a "Christian" country, why is shellfish legal? Divorce? Why was slavery abolished? I ask these questions constantly and no Christian has an answer for me. Why? Because they pick the Bible quotes that suit their interests and ignore the rest. Hypocrites.

Many of my gay friends do not want gay marriage and would never act so childish! The problem with Democrats and the gay attack dogs crouwd is that if you dare disagree with everything they want, you are anti something and always a HATER!! It is such bull! That is why 32% of all gay people voted GOP in 2010 and it will just grow larger! We are just as sick of these radical Dems! By the way, Obama does not condone Gay Marriage either! He justs lets them think he is evolving on the subject. He lies and they believe! It is so sad becaause he thinks they gays are too stupid to not vote for him Ha! We are not all that stupid!

If I were to point out that the Holocaust was evil, would you call me a hate-filled bigot?

Then why do you call me a hate-filled bigot when I point out that homosexuality is evil?

They are both morally equivalent things.

Because I love humanity, I hate the Holocaust, even though it necessarily means I am opposed to some members of humanity who perpetrated the Holocaust.

Because I love humanity, I hate homosexuality, even though it necessarily means I am opposed to some members of humanity who seek to promote and normalize homosexuality.

Do you hate your mother, father, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, best friend, business associate, minister, black men or black women, latino men or black women, white men or black women? They are all out there with homosexuals living right alongside you and you do not even know it. You very likely care very deeply about a homosexual and do not even know it. I find that people who espouse to hate homosexuals are afraid to deal with their own internal feelings about their own sexual questions. I highly suggest that you take a good look in a mirror and see what you hate about yourself! Then talk to your relatives. SOMEONE IN YOUR INNER CIRCLE IS DEFINITELY A HOMOSEXUAL. They are just afraid to let you know about it.

Russell you are making up information here and putting words in people’s mouths that they have not said. You are clearly uninformed. Since the AIDS crisis started, the decline in transmission of the HIV virus has declined in the gay population and INCREASED in the heterosexual population. Check for facts on the internet and almost any library for information. Gay men do not go bed hopping intentionally giving other people AIDS. You seem to have a warmed perception of reality and what gay people are all about.
I just happen to know a lot of gay people in work and in life. Whether I am gay or not is not a point. I have a right to get irritated when ignorant persons like you spread false information about gay people. It is idiots like you stating…..” They do not go out and attack people with guns and such as he says, but they do bed hop over ten times the Heterosexuals. They attack people with AIDS. This is worse than guns, as with guns, you will more than likely just die if shot. AIDS is much different.” Gay people DO NOT go and intentionally infect other gay people with HIV. The INCREASE in the HIV Diagnosis is in the heterosexual population, not the gay population.
Additionally Katelyn there is a distinct difference between someone being HIV Positive and having the AIDS diagnosis. Both populations are tracked differently. Once someone is diagnosed with HIV, then and “IF” they transition to the AIDS category the numbers change around to reflect so.

They have a rating of some having over a thousand different bed partners in a years time, and bragging about it. Mike, this is "This Russell Palmer" you were speaking about/. First of, are you really homosexual? It seems our (straight guy's,) comments really stirred up an ire in you. It is not I who condemn the Gays, as you so eloquently refer to Homosexuals, but God Himself. I never once said I was for women not being virgins. I believe that would be a wonderful thing. Perhaps we could get some decency back in America? Lets face fact: Sin is Sin. God created this world, and made man and woman to become one in Holy Marriage. How can anyone claim two same sex people can be married, when it was for tow of the opposite sex, like the polarity of a magnet? Like poles reject, opposites attract. For anyone to get right with God, they have to turn from their sin, and repent. Accepting the fact they have sinned, then accept Jesus Christ's sacrifice as paying for those sins. Pure and simple. Sinners are dropping towards Hell of their own accord. God simply sent Jesus for a ROPE TO CATCH THEM AND SAVE THEM FROM THAT FALL. but, THEY HAVE TO TAKE THE ROPE,. Otherwise, they cannot be pulled up. People so many times condemn God and His Christians, for providing them a salvation from an eternal death. Why? We do not force anyone to stop falling into Hell. Just offer them a rope.

Being Gay is not a choice and being Gay is nothing more than loving someone. Nothing more...nothing less. Hopefully, if you have children they will get their level of tolerance from someone else. You really need to do some studying. First off, TARP was pushed for Bush to sign by the Democrats. Second, in Bush's 8 years, (of which he inherited a big debt from Clinton,) he spent $4.6 Trillion. Which is too much. BUT, since Obama has been in office, he has spent $6 Trillion in three years! He is supporting Palestine in their fight with Israel, and Palestine is a verified Terrorist country, which has actually never been a country. The people there are whoever the other Arab countries has exiled and will not let them come back. Obama is trying to force Israel to allow Palestine to move in and take their country over. He wants Israel to go back to the 1967 era, when they had just become a Nation again. Look up the National debt for countries we are supporting: Egypt. $1.5 Billion per year, Russian Communist countries, Mexico, Palestine, and many more. None of whom ever pay us back anything.

Osama Bin Laden had stated in one of his tapes that is the main reason that he decided to go ahead with his plans to bomb the World Trade Center…. So in effect George W Bush is responsible for 911. Do you not know your history either?? Palestine occupied those lands long before the Israelis did, but not as a sovereign country. We also give Israel about $3 BILLION a year too. In my mind, this discredits the entire report and makes me believe the commenters from the rally who say the men were thrown out for disrupting the rally and kissed as they were being escorted out. Secondly, I question the motives of the protestors who clearly exploited their children by bringing them out there to hold signs they obviously didn't make and are probably too young to read or understand.

Yet another example of our freedoms being taken away. One of the great advantages of being American is freedom in many aspects. However, as government becomes more involved with our lives, the less control we have over our own lives. Rick Santorum is a SOCIAL conservative, not a FISCAL conservative, which is exactly why two men would ultimately get kicked out of a Santorum rally. And isn't it crazy that religious fanatics oftentimes are the ones judging and hating people with different beliefs... Haven't they considered that Jesus hung out with thieves and prostitutes, and the Bible says, "love thy neighbor" and "God is the only judge." ??? Hypocrites... The world is a better place when people think about morality act in appropriate ways by doing "the greatest good for the greatest number" and not even bringing religion into it. Social conservatives like Santorum want to force their religious ideas down our throats and discriminate against those that don't agree.

Become educated on the issues before placing your vote in the primary election and in November. For REAL change in this country, vote for small government and freedom. RON PAUL is the only candidate that can bring such change.

Hey Kendra Stewart, Ron Paul all the way! Right with you. One correction. Jesus didn't "Hang out" with thieves and prostitutes. The Pharisees wouldn't have been seen around these people because of their reputation might be tarnished. Jesus proved that the Pharisees were hypocrites. He came to save the lost and he wasn't afraid of a reputation of being seen with the thieves and prostitutes. Hanging out is a modern term that is used too loosely and dose not apply.

Frothy Santorum(google it) and the rest of the GOP/TEA Parties are being exposed as nothing more than Shills and Puppets of ALEC, the USCC, Big Oil, Pharma, Insurance and the Koch Brothers. They protect the wealth of the 1% and propose lower taxes on Billionaires and Corporations, No Environmental or Wall Street Regulations, Destruction of the Middle Class through Union Busting, voter disenfranchisement and Abolishing Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. They want to repeal the Affordable Care Act which is good for everyone but Insurance industry (Don't believe the Lies of Fox News and Karl Rove) THEY MUST ALL BE VOTED OUT IN NOVEMBER! We need a more Progressive not Regressive Government. A Government for and by the 99% Not by the Corporations!! Tea Party constituents who are Duped and Brainwashed by Fox News, Heritage Foundation, Cato Institute and Americans for Prosperity actually vote against their own economic, environmental and health care interests.

This is an old Santorum ploy he used in Pennsylvania. His campaign facilitates the local hiring and staging of the disruption and its aftermath. Some of us old timers know how it works.

I'm sure this has been revealed by another local person in this thread, but the truth of the matter is that these guys did this as a prank... they aren't gay. they are making fun of the occupy protesters and making fun of gay activists. They've got a picture (posted in national newspapers!) that they will look back on and laugh about forever. this has been confirmed to me through mutual friends of the guy in the black hat. Where they got the guy in the Hawks jersey is beyond me, but it's a classic prank.

As I stated before they looked like they were two straight guys that were just pretending.. Thanks for confirming that. Pretty funny you have to admit. And they pulled it off. An interesting post by Jon Hall is that Samtorum's camp hire people to do the disruption and in turn get no-expense media coverage from it. I think that is entirely possible and just the kind of thing Santorum might pull. I don't trust him and he is not a conservative. He is a double talker like Obama. Says one thing to get support and does what ever to stay in power.

@debbiechaney...I would like to respond to your second question about the children as I am the ordained minister with the collar in this picture and one of the children is mine...My child chose the saying she held and helped make ALL the signs our family held and this is true of the other children who were with us that day as well. My daughter also chose to come with us that day and hold a sign herself and was never forced or coerced to do so. She may be young but she is definitely old enough to understand why we were present that night. She may be young but she knows and understands what is fair, what is just and what is of Love...and what is not.

Tolerance can be taught at an early age. Unfortunately, hate can too. Congratulations for raising children who may be well balanced leaders one day. Santorum teaches hate and fortunately won't be a leader. Santorum now supported by the Duggers! 19 kids and counting. There's some evidence of results after a President Santorum effort to outlaw contraception. Who will pay for all the babies?

Mike Look at some of the history:

"Paul Boneberg, executive director of the GLBT Historical Society, said, “Half the gay men in San Francisco were infected in the first wave” of AIDS, “and most died.”

Although Mr. Evans was never infected, he lost five roommates to the disease, including one who passed away in the apartment. “People would get sick, and they’d be dead within six months,” he said. " (New York Times)

"Yes, during homosexual contacts, the chances to be infested by AIDS are 5-6 times higher than during the heterosexual contacts. Furthermore, the major part of homosexuals aren’t stable in their partners’ choice - that’s why in 80’s and the beginning of 90’s AIDS killed many Western gays. Homosexuals are in the hazard group with a high possibility to be infested by AIDS, along with prostitutes, drug addicts and medics." (M.V. Ahundova)

Russell Palmer U R an even bigger idiot with these statements. Using data almost 10 years old and an interview by one person, subjectively categorizing an entire group of people based upon ONE INDIVUDUAL in question supposedly survey. I suggest you research in recent data and see how high the rate of HIV, NOT AIDS (you likely do not even know what the difference is) is in the heterosexual population of the United States. Most new cases are NOT in gay men, but in the Heterosexual population the last 10 years. You are very uninformed. I do about 30 hours community service for local HIV/AIDS Orgs, so I see the statistics. Yours are as screwed up as your way of thinking. It’s idiots like you that are spreading HIV rampantly within the Heterosexual community because you “THINK” you will not get it. Last year I heard a woman say ...”I still don’t know how I got HIV, I never let my husband F—K me in the ass. The majority of new HIV cases are Heterosexual persons under 25. Since the 80’s HIV has DECREASED in the gay population year after year. It has INCREASED in the Heterosexual community. NONE of this by the way has anything to do with the discussion or the Presidential race. This is just the disgusting Right Wing Conservative movement trying to muddy the water for the Presidential election. This conversation or should I say in your case “schooling session” is over. I will not waste my time reading anymore of these ridiculous ill informed rants by you.

Male Homosexuals

Research indicates that the average male homosexual has hundreds of sex partners in his lifetime:

· The Dutch study of partnered homosexuals, which was published in the journal AIDS, found that men with a steady partner had an average of eight sexual partners per year.[12]

· Bell and Weinberg, in their classic study of male and female homosexuality, found that 43 percent of white male homosexuals had sex with 500 or more partners, with 28 percent having one thousand or more sex partners.[13]

· In their study of the sexual profiles of 2,583 older homosexuals published in the Journal of Sex Research, Paul Van de Ven et al. found that "the modal range for number of sexual partners ever [of homosexuals] was 101-500." In addition, 10.2 percent to 15.7 percent had between 501 and 1,000 partners. A further 10.2 percent to 15.7 percent reported having had more than one thousand lifetime sexual partners.[14]

· A survey conducted by the homosexual magazine Genre found that 24 percent of the respondents said they had had more than one hundred sexual partners in their lifetime. The magazine noted that several respondents suggested including a category of those who had more than one thousand sexual partners.[15]

"Commitment" in Male Homosexual Couples

Even in those homosexual relationships in which the partners consider themselves to be in a committed relationship, the meaning of "committed" or "monogamous" typically means something radically different than in heterosexual marriage.

· A Canadian study of homosexual men who had been in committed relationships lasting longer than one year found that only 25 percent of those interviewed reported being monogamous." According to study author Barry Adam, "Gay culture allows men to explore different...forms of relationships besides the monogamy coveted by heterosexuals."[16]

· The Handbook of Family Diversity reported a study in which "many self-described 'monogamous' couples reported an average of three to five partners in the past year. Blasband and Peplau (1985) observed a similar pattern."[17]

· In The Male Couple, authors David P. McWhirter and Andrew M. Mattison reported that, in a study of 156 males in homosexual relationships lasting from one to thirty-seven years:
Only seven couples have a totally exclusive sexual relationship, and these men all have been together for less than five years. Stated another way, all couples with a relationship lasting more than five years have incorporated some provision for outside sexual activity in their relationships.[18]

Hey Russell, Yes and he was also a believer in Keynesian economics. That's why the U.S. had a Great Depression instead of a very bad Recession. Obama is a believer in Keynesian economics also. The Austrians have proved it's the worst thing to do in the situation we have been in. Canada didn't follow Obama and Bernanke's lead. The countries that didn't follow the Keynesian way didn't suffer as us and won't have the same problems that are coming our way.
Great research on homosexuals. I have some gay friends that don't live close by me (all of them live hundreds of miles away). One has been with the same guy since 1980 but my friends partner would hit on me every time my friend was not around. I would just take his hand and move it back in his direction every time. But he never stopped the behavior. I'm sure I haven't been the only one. I haven't seen them since about 1990. There are a number of books that have done studies on the causes. One that I have, found that in the high 90% bracket each gay guy had/has very open Daddy issues. The gay guys I know are definitely in the group. Same with Lesbians. I know this will make most of them mad because to think about the abuse they lived through is pretty brutal. Healing is hard and painful. The friend that I just wrote about had a dad that molested all his 5 boys. Three of them are gay now, other 2 are passive and the dad who was a cop went to jail and everyone found out he had also been sexually abused by his father. Generational

Katelyn,

This shows just how much you understand God's word. Most of the Old Testament was written for a history of the Beginning, and the Calling of Israel for God's Chosen Nation. It was called the "LAW". The New Testament is showing God's grace, because Christ fulfilled the Law. We are now under Grace. However, sin is still forbidden. As for the eating of shell fish and several other things you missed, that was to have Israel a separate nation, as an example, with certain restrictions. The New Testament has has changed that to include the Gentiles, and allow the eating of anything we choose, as long as we do it in following God's specs.
1Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1Timothy 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1Timothy 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1Timothy 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Like so many others here, you need to "STUDY" the Bible more, and not just read a few passages. While Jesus had compassion on those you poke of, He did not condone any sin, nor were the homosexuals followers of Him.

I see this topic and discussion here has turned into nothing but a Holy Roller and gay bashing session. The ignorance of so many people on here is astounding. Not only are so many of these rants bigoted but they are factually uninformed. Some persons quote information from 30 years ago and bring up HIV and AIDS and have no idea what the difference is and how gay men are trying to kill each other. Jeezzz people.. Sodom and Gomorrah “supposedly” occurred for rampant sex in the streets by .. HETROSEXUALs NOT Homosexuals. Go back and read your Bible you hypocrites. I have been accused of getting angry and irritated here. As your golden girl sara says “You Betcha” I have heard way to much bashing of my gay friends on here to even bother reading any more of these ridiculous rants by these hypocritical, supposed “Christians”. Remember also does not the Bible say that women should be chaste (VIRGINS) when they got married or they should be stoned to death. Facts are that 95-98% of women are not virgins when they get married. So which one of you supposedly chaste women are going to throw the first stone? Huh? NONE OF YOU. You are all spouting the Bible when you think it suits your needs and ignoring the ones parts of the Bible that you don’t like or want to apply to you. Y’ALL ARE HOLY ROLLER HYPOCRITES I will no longer waste anymore of my time trying to educate the ignorant. Y’ALL ARE HOLY ROLLER HYPOCRITES

Give it a rest Mike. You act as though everyone has to agree with you and they don't. Calling people Holy Roller Hypocrites is no better than Christians calling gays sinners. You obviously do not study the Bible and that is your right. Many people, whether Christian or not, do not accept the homosexual way of life as being appropriate. We each have a right to believe what we want without all the hate. You are spewing the very hatred that you are accusing others of doing. I suggest you sit down and study the New Testament with an unbiased mind, and then you might be better informed. And, I don't mean pick out a paragraph or two. After that, make you choices and leave others to do the same.

Mike, not to interrupt your ranting about intolerance, but you did see my earlier post about this incident that got you so riled up and do realize that these guys that got kicked out of the Santorum event are not gay and did this as a prank to make fun of gay activists. You are just adding to their victory by being so over the top here.. bottom line is that most people don't want to know the sexual preferences of everybody else. We don't want to see gay parades, hear about gay softball leagues, see the "first gay this or gay that.."

Mikes argument is over the top, but it's somewhat valid as well. Not everyone has to like or accept the homosexual lifestyle. That's why you have a choice not to engage in it. You have a choice not to go to the parade, to listen about their softball league and to not vote for or even support the first gay anything. The problem is that they, "the homosexual community," don't get the same choices you do on certain things. They don't get spousal rights in almost all the states. Employers can deny benefits because they aren't technically married. People want to deny them softball leagues? Why when there are many "single people" events can they not have one to find a partner? Again, as a country we have denied rights to African Americans, Women, Asians, and many other groups because we think they didn't deserve them. How is is this different? Gods "laws" have been taken either literally on some points and figuratively on others to prove points. We don't have massive rallies against people with Tattoos or piercings and God had a problem with those as well.

Religious as well as non secular people don't have to like the lifestyle. All that most of the LGBT community is looking for is the equality they are being denied. They aren't asking you to join them in softball or watch them in their homes. It doesn't effect your lifestyle at all.

Jon,

I agree with you actually. "Religion" is something so many people worship, rather than God Himself. The Bible warns us about "Religion" and its wrongful doings. All through the Old Testament, we have explanations of people wrongfully having religion, worshiping the wrong gods, making idols from their own handwork, which is also religion. Look what it got them. To overcome this demise, one needs to Worship the Real Live God, and His son, as well as the Holy Ghost, and follow the right track, to get into Heaven. Makes one wonder why so many people are afraid to accept the only Sacrifice that can get them saved from Hell, and misery, and choose to live a cporrupt life instead, which will send them there.
