Police Blotter: DUI and Child Endangerment

These incidents were among the official reports of the Lake Zurich Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

 

 

Traffic Arrest (DUI)                          

Jamelle A. McCreary, 36, 580 Braemar Lane, Lake Zurich, was arrested pursuant to a single vehicle traffic crash in the 500 block of Braemar Lane, at 8 p.m., Sept. 20.  McCreary was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving too Fast for Conditions, Reckless Driving, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol and two counts of Child Endangerment.  McCreary was released on a $3,000.00 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of 10/15/12.

 

Traffic Arrests (Suspended)     

Tadeusz Skowyra, 42, 327 Country Club Road, Lake Zurich, was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at Route 22, at 1:32 p.m., Sept. 17.  Skowyra was charged with operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Skowyra was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond with a Waukegan court date of Sept. 24.       

 Lester F. Taylor, 29, 920 Sterling Avenue, #209, Palatine, was arrested during a traffic stop in the 500 block of South Rand Road, at 12:42 a.m., Sept. 18.  Taylor was charged with failing to wear a safety belt when required and driving with a suspended driver’s license.  Taylor was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Oct. 5.

At 11:21 p.m., Sept. 20, Jose J. Navarro, 27, who resides at 402 Kimball Avenue in Wauconda, IL 60084 was arrested for driving while driver’s license is suspended on Route 12 at Miller Road in Lake Zurich.  Navarro was charged with Driving While Driver’s License is Suspended.  Navarro was issued a Mundelein court date of Nov. 2 and released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.  

Traffic Arrests (No Valid License)                     

At 11:41 p.m., Sept. 18, Angel R. Anorve, 20, 2230 West Nichols #E, Arlington Heights,  was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at June Terrace.  Anorve was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and speeding.  Anorve was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Nov. 2. 

Bertha Gomez, 30, 20073 North Hazelcrest, Palatine,  was arrested during a traffic stop in the 700 block of Ela Road, at 3:25 p.m., Sept. 19.  Gomez was charged with driving without valid driver’s license and violating a traffic signal.  Gomez was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with a Mundelein court date of Nov. 2.

Kenyatta I. Williams, 30, 201 South Buesching Road, #228, Lake Zurich,  was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 22 at Route 12, at 3:27 p.m., Sept. 18.  Williams was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license.  Williams was in custody pending a bond hearing.

Warrant Service

On Sept. 18, at 4:54 p.m., Ernesto Ortiz, 42, 2606 West Division Street, Chicago, was arrested pursuant to a traffic stop on Route 12 at Ravinia Terrace on a failure-to-appear warrant issued by Kane County.  Ortiz remains in custody pending a bond hearing later today.
