Peace Lutheran Church in Lake Zurich held its Vacation Bible School program last week. The theme this year was Sky-Everything is Possible with God.
The group has been raising money to purchase mosquito netting to help protect families in Africa from Malaria during this weeks event.
The kids and parents enjoyed using the Community Prayer Labyrinth that is located on the church property which is open to the public from sunrise to sunset seven days a week.
Bob Hopman, a recent Lake Zurich High School graduate, is now an Eagle Scout after designing and building the pergola at the entrance of the labyrinth and Evan Rojek also a recent LZHS graduate earned his Eagle Scout status by designing and building two benches and a picnic table at the labyrinth as well.
