Quinn is also expected to propose $2.7 billion in cuts to Medicaid spending. "Everybody in the state is going to be affected by this downsizing of state government,'' Quinn's budget director, David Vaught said. The hardest hit by the cuts, however, will be the Illinois Department of Corrections.

No Quinn!! Do NOT touch Medicaid!! Get your house in order, and start taxing these corporate thieves and the 1% who live and work in this state so that they pay their fair share! And make it retroactive back to when the Bush Tax took effect!

You should not cut Medicaid but why are you allowing people getting choler implant for kids that C.I. Costs about $7,000 - $20000 that Medicaid will pay for it not hearing aids?!? There should be some lot on Medicaid that people can get or not. Getting CI isn't necessary to get it, what is wrong to be deaf and wear hearing aids? It's cheaper!!

This state is on course to financial failure and it's right around the corner... Illinois will be the first state to go bankrupt... Quinn raised our income tax by 50% and has made absolutely zero progress on reducing the debt. Be ready for another 50% hike later in 2012. Starting in 2013... there will be a middle class exodus to other states that manage their finances better. And then who will pay taxes??

And then we have the voters who pony on up to the polls and vote for the Democrats again and again. Will they every learn? No, stupid is as stupid does.
Maybe their line of thinking is that if they continue to vote the Dems into office, it will give them something to complain about.
