The Lake Zurich Bears will face Mundelein Mustangs this Friday, 7:30 p.m., in Lake Zurich. The Mustangs have an 0-2 record.
The sophomore game precedes the varsity at 5 p.m.
The Bears racked up one win and one loss in its first two games of the season.
On Aug. 31, the Bears lost to Cary-Grove, 21-6. Lake Zurich Coach David Profitt told the Lake Zurich Courier that the boys were not well enough prepared.
In the season opener, against Fremd, the Bears won 21-0. Lake Zurich senior quarterback Jake Stauner and senior running back Connor Schrader played a great game. Profitt said the two complement each other well, in the Daily Herald.
