Rockford Boylan was on a 39 game winning streak, that included the 2011 7A IHSA championship, before meeting up with Lake Zurich on Saturday. Lake Zurich cut that winning streak short with a big win 21-6.
Lake Zurich will now face the Glendbard West Hitters. Game time is 1 p.m. in the semifinals. Last season LZHS upset Glenbard West in Glen Ellyn in the 2nd round of the IHSA playoffs. Back in 2009 Glenbard West defeated LZHS (at LZHS) in the IHSA Semifinal Game in the last 6-seconds of the game, according to the Quarterback Club’s John Schnecker.
Schnecker advises those going to the game to get there early as parking is not good.

At Saturday’s game against Rockford Noah Allgood made two touchdown passes. Other key performers were Connor Schrader and Sean Lynch.
