Lake Zurich Heritage Farmers Market Opens for Season
Residents can find organic vegetables and other local products on Saturday mornings at Lions Park.
The Lake Zurich Heritage Farmers Market season starts this week and will be held on Saturday mornings, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Last year’s market was on Friday afternoons. Market manager Rob Boyce said organizers wanted to see if Saturdays worked out better for the market. The Lake Zurich Heritage Farmers Market returned last year after a five-year absence.
Shoppers can expect a pleasant ambiance at the weekly farmers market including music by the Dan & Jenny Trio. The market will have locally grown produce, organically grown vegetable plants, perennials, annuals, fresh flowers and an assortment of other vendors.
The market is still accepting vendors. See the Lake Zurich Heritage Farmers Market 2012 application.
Organizers are hoping to continue to expand the Lake Zurich Heritage Farmer’s Market, which is a group effort of between The Lake Zurich Lions Club, Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce and supported by village of Lake Zurich
