All it takes is a little creativity from a few enterprising seniors and the next thing you know, your school spirit is soaring. At last week's football game against Cary-Grove, seniors voted for "Lake Zurich Means Business" as their theme for the game, and hundreds turned out in their business attire, some opting for more "business casual" than others did.

"Yes, it's creative, but I don't know what business office would allow such short skirts," said Doris Evans of Lake Zurich. 

"Some of these fellows looked like Secret Service agents, while others looked like cocktail waiters," said Lake Zurich resident Bill Johnson. 

Senior Benny Scaduto shared that the themes are known at least one week ahead of time. This week's theme of red, white and blue will be in honor of the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

Whether serious or irreverent, the weekly themes are a rewarding and memorable experience for students, teachers, and the entire community, adding a sense of style and excitement to the games. It has become a fun ritual anticipating what the theme of any given week will be.
