How Would You Rate Lake Zurich's Snow Removal?
Were you satisfied with the village's services? Or do you think there's room for improvement?
This week's snow storm has been dubbed as the "biggest blizzard since 2011."
Some 1,200 flights were canceled at O'Hare and Midway airports and Tuesday's rush hour was anything but delightful. O'Hare airport saw about 9 inches of snow on Tuesday.
Lake Zurich saw about 6 to 7 inches of that evil white stuff known as "snow."
What were your impressions of the village's snow removal services?

Both lake zurich and ela township did a great job! Driving back from Elk Grove you could clearly tell when you crossed the town line! Thank you for working so hard to keep us safe!

Great job, I thought. Better than I remember in past years.

I hate to be Debbie Downer but the roads in Lake Zurich are awful when it snows. I come from Wauconda to get to work in Lake Zurich and the difference between the two towns are so noticable that I have actually wanted to call the town and/or township and ask why they are so bad. I wanted to wait and ask people at my work who come from different directions and they all say the same thing. The roads in Lake Zurich are bad. Not just poor but awful. It is frustrating because I have no idea why. Maybe someone from Lake Zurich snow removal group (not sure what government agency) can chime in on this site and explain.

The Village did a great job on the streets. I similarly heard nothing but good about the Township roads.
The State didn't do too good of a job on Route 22 & I assume Route 12 would have been the same.

Snow removal was pretty good in general but my complaint is where they leave the snow piles. Mostly snow seems to be piled higher on my corner lot than the other 3 corners and they always re-bury the end of my driveway, more so than they do my neighbors farther down the block. I can barely get to my mail box with the amount they push up on the parkway and it is really difficult to see traffic on the main road in order to pull onto it with vehicles. Not safe for cars or pedestrians.
