Taste of the Towns features local restaurants, wineries, and breweries who will be serving samples of their menus. Tickets are two for $50 through Aug. 25, and $35 each on site.

North Shore Wine, Beer, Cigar and Food Festival

Saturday, Aug. 25, Brainerd Grounds, Libertyville

This fabulous outdoor festival will feature fine wines, craft beers, cigars, delicious food, live music and more. Live music from of the area's finest musicians will provide entertainment throughout the festival. 

The Farm: Images from the Heartland

Opens Saturday, Aug. 25, Lake County Discovery Museum, Wauconda

Finalists in The Farm: Images from the Heartland 2012 farm art competition will display their artwork at the Lake County Discovery Museum from Saturday, August 25, to Sunday, November 4, 2012. The Artist Reception will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012, 1-4:00 PM at the Discovery Museum, located at the Lakewood Forest Preserve, Wauconda. At that time the award-winning artists will be announced. Members of the public are invited to attend the free reception and view the exhibition.
