Get an Early Look at Your 2011 Assessments
Ela Township Assessor John Barrington is offering residents an early look at their 2011 property assessments.
From Ela Township Assessor John Barrington:
The 2011 assessments have been completed and most properties in Ela Township received a decrease, some substantial.
The new values will be mailed/published Nov. 3rd, but I have asked the county to publish the new values online early so that you can contact our office now. Go to www.lakecountyil.gov/assessor and select Property Tax Assessment Information under the Assessment Information tab on the left of the page. Enter your property information and you should see your new 2011 assessment.
If you feel the value is overstated you can submit an appraisal, information on your recent purchase, or comparable properties for our review. We enjoy working with homeowners directly to help resolve their concerns and want to ensure you that you don’t need to pay an attorney or tax representative to review your assessment. Additional information and instructions are available on our website, www.elatownship.org/assessor .
You can email your Hud-1 for a recent purchase or an appraisal to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also bring the information to our office at 1155 E. Route 22 in Lake Zurich. Our hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Remember, we are your local resource and are here to help you through this process. Please contact our office with any questions.
