George Ryan Heads Home From Halfway House
The former Illinois Governor only spent hours in the halfway house where he was expected to stay until July.
Former Illinois Governor George Ryan is at home in Kankakee this morning, after spending only a few house in a Chicago halfway house, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Ryan was released from prison yesterday after serving more than five years for corruption charges. He was expected to stay in the halfway house until July. The Chicago Sun-Times reports his release from the home was unexpected, and was a decision by the Bureau of Prisons.
Ryan will be under house arrest until July, the Tribune reports.

It's great that he is finally home, let him live his life as best he can.
Not having his wife at home with him will certainly be hard on him.
No more tv crews in front of his house. It's over. Leave the guy alone.
