Free Lunch and Turkey Farm History, Sept. 18

The Ela Historical Society will hold a luncheon at Silverado which includes a brief talk about Lake Zurich history.

 

 

Ela Historical Society vice president Ron Frank will share Lake Zurich history at a free lunch at Silverado Senior Center, 11:30 a.m., Sept. 18.

The lunch is sponsored by Silverado, Lexington Health Care Center and Inland Bank.

Frank will give a short talk about Ela Township history, the PLZ&W railroad and the turkey farm which once stood on the Silverado site. The farm was owned by William Luerssen, who is Mayor Suzanne Branding's grandfather.
