Five Great Summer Camps for the Kids

1. Lake County Forest Preserves offer a variety of summer camps and day programs for children ages 4 through ninth grade and even adults and at various locations throughout the county. They range from naturalist, farming, heritage and fishing camps and more. For a complete list see www.lcfpd.org/html_lc/camps/age.html

2. Good Times Summer Day Camp has drop off and pick up locations at Kits Sports Complex in Lake Zurich and the Libertyville Sports Complex. Their camps run 10 weeks from June 13 through August 19 and are for children ages 4 through 12.  www.goodtimesdaycamp.com/libertyville/aboutus/

3. Foglia YMCA offers “A Summer of Fun, A Lifetime of Memories”  designed to provide children with summer adventures that promote a healthy spirit , mind and body. For a downloadable brochure see. http://chicagoymca.ebookview.net/camps.php?orgid=157

4. JCC Elaine Frank Apachi Day Camp has programs for kids age 4 to eighth grade. They also have a counselor-in-training camp for 9th and 10th graders. JCC Elaine Frank Apachi Day Camp is a fun place for kids to have a good time at summer camp while learning about Jewish beliefs and culture. 5. Lake Zurich Boy Scout Troop 309 has a two-week summer camp at Camp Napowan, Wild Roase, WI, where Scouts can work on a wide variety of merit badges and participate in other activities. http://lz309.com/
