We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid. Submit your nomination in our comment box below or email the information to ken@patch.com. This Week's Lake Zurich Patch Whiz Kids

Kit's Sports Center was the site of a wild dodge ball tournament on Friday, Jan. 28.  Sure it was a little dangerous,  and a lot of fun,  but these 150-plus kids were in it to raise money to feed orphans in Cambodia.

Each team paid a $20 entry fee, with all the profits of the evening going to feed the orphans through "The Life Project",  an organization that takes in street kids and orphans in Cambodia. The Dodge Ball Tournament  was organized and sponsored by Todd Lowans and the Campus Life Club of Lake Zurich. Kudos  to a great group of Lake Zurich Whiz Kids who raised $ 275,  which will feed 200 Cambodian orphans.

The winning team called themselves "The Team Georgia." Team members were Nate Holicky,  Kate Arends,  Kyle Callender,  Justin Marais and George Bernudez.

Campus Life is "a safe place where high school students can come hang out, and just be real with their peers. It is a place where teens will be accepted no matter what you've done or been through in life."

They  meet on Thursday nights from 7 p.m.-9 p.m.  The club provides opportunities  to have fun, build deep meaningful relationships and discuss relevant issues pertaining to high school students at this time, in this culture.  For more information about LZ Campus Life:  http://campuslifelz.com
