Our list this week is the best places around to celebrate St. Patrick's Day (which is today):

1. Fritzl’s European Restaurant & Pub, 377 N. Rand Rd., is offering corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick’s Day.

 2. St. Patty’s Day Party at the Village Tavern, 135 Old McHenry Rd., Long Grove. Corned beef and cabbage dinners, green beer and entertainment will be provided. Reservations are suggested. 847-634-3117.

3. Barrington Celtic Fest, McGonigal’s Pub and downtown Barrington, 200 block of Park Ave., This two-day festival is held on Thursday and Friday, March 17 and 18. Live music, local retail, and restaurants participate.

4. St. Patrick’s Day at Mickey Finn’s Brewery, 412 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, 847-362-6688.

 5. Swing into St. Patty’s at Sullivan’s Steakhouse of Lincolnshire, 250 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire, 847-883-0311. Plenty of drink specials.
