Messiah Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten Family Literacy Night: If You Give a Child a Book...Imagine the Possibilities!

On Friday, November 16, the Messiah Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten will host its first-ever Family Literacy Night from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Wauconda Area Library will present an opening program, and the stories of Laura Numeroff (author of “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie,” “If You Give a Pig a Pancake,” and other beloved children’s books) will be read and shared through interactive activities.

The event is free and open to the public. There will be book-themed refreshments and raffle prizes, with proceeds benefitting the literacy programs of Messiah Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten. Books will be available during the event through the school’s Scholastic Book Fair.

Where: Messiah Lutheran Church and Preschool, 25225 W. Ivanhoe Road, Wauconda

When: Friday, November 16, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
