James H. Kuhn, 64, was a resident of Lake Zurich since 1990.

Memorial visitation for Mr. Kuhn will be from 9:30AM until the time of the memorial service at 11AM, Saturday, Oct. 30,  at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich.  Interment will be private.

James was born  in Newark, OH the son of the late Joseph H. and Hallene Kuhn and died on Sunday Oct. 24, at Hospice of Northeastern Illinois in Barrington.

Beloved husband of Emily (Chin) Kuhn; loving father of Bailey and Taylor Kuhn; loving step father of Mark (Melanie) Polanski, Eric Polanski and Amy Berger; dear brother of Ernie (Phaythoune) Kuhn; fond uncle of Christine (Jonathan) Kuhn-Patrick and Kimberly (Brian) Kuhn-Kaplan.

Jim was a graduate of Ohio State University in 1969 and was an avid Buckeyes fan. He was  employed  by State Farm Insurance Company for 34 years and was a member of the Hiawatha Sportsman Club of the upper peninsula of Michigan for many years as he enjoyed golfing, fishing and other outdoor activities. He also loved to get away to the family cabin in Logan, OH. 

In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated for Hospice of Northeastern Illinois 405 Lake Zurich Rd., Barrington, IL  60010 or to the American Cancer Society.
