Visitation for Gerald J. "Jerry" Berrong, 80, a resident of Hawthorn Woods for 28 years, will be held  from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 2, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Nov.  3, at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home,  Lake Zurich.  Interment will follow in Acacia Park Cemetery, Chicago.

Born June 2, 1930, in Kenosha WI, he died Sunday, Oct. 31,  at home.

Jerry served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955.  He was past president of Foreign Auto Sports Team and won many trophies in his Triumph roadster.  He retired from Deringer-Ney, Inc. in 1995.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sandra R. (nee: Mackenzie) Berrong; daughters, Dr. Christine Berrong, and Sharon Berrong; sister, Jean Sisler; niece, Kathleen Mikesell; and nephew, Gary Sisler.  

Preceded in death by his parents John P. and Minnie (nee: Reiser) Berrong.
