From one dog lover to another, Aldens has the best options for dog boarding and training

Brenda: “I really don’t care about training my dog. I just don’t want to spend the time.”

Linda: So, is your dog well behaved?

Brenda: “Sure. She doesn’t do her business in the house. She doesn’t bark too much. Probably her only flaw is that she pulls on the leash a bit when I tLindae her for walks.”

Linda: A bit?

Brenda: “Yeah. I mean, sometimes it’s kind of cute and funny how excited she gets about going for a walk. I guess, other times, it’s a little annoying but it’s no big deal.”

Linda: I can see that. And, as long as it doesn’t bother you, I guess you can live with it. But, what about your dog?

Brenda: “Pepper? Oh, she’s fine. She just gets a little worked up about going out. I can never walk fast enough for her.”

Linda: So she sets the pace on walks?

Brenda: “Not exactly. Like I said, she wants to go faster.”

Linda: That doesn’t sound very leisurely.

Brenda: “Well, no.”

Linda: You know, if she could relax a little she’d probably enjoy the walks more herself. And you might enjoy them more, too.

Brenda: “Yeah, I guess I can see that.  What do you suggest?”

Linda: At Aldens Kennels, they offer a program called Board & Train. You leave your dog with them for a couple weeks and your dog receives a training seminar in doggy etiquette. If you want them to focus on teaching your dog to relax on walks, that’s what they’ll do.

Brenda: “Two weeks? I’m not sure Pepper would like staying in a kennel that long – cooped up all day.

Linda: Dogs aren’t cooped up at Aldens. First of all, they have roomy, newly remodeled rooms for each dog. They keep the rooms clean, the water fresh and they serve tasty meals on a timely basis.

Brenda: “That’s great but, with the temperature as high as it’s been, Pepper isn’t accustomed to that kind of heat.”

Linda: No worries. At Aldens, she has her own doggy door so she can go in or out whenever she wants. Outside is in the shade. Inside has 4-Star hotel quality climate control.

Brenda: “Yeah, but she’ll still be cooped up, even if the room is nice and clean.”

Linda: Not at Aldens. They know how boring dog boarding can be so they designed a menu of options to keep dogs engaged. They have nature walks, playtime, grooming and baths. They’ll even drive dogs to and from vet and spa appointments. And, of course, along with all that, Pepper would still have time spent training with one of the certified expert dog trainers at Aldens.

Brenda: “Wow! That sounds like a lot of fun. Can I stay at Aldens?”

Linda: I’m sorry. Aldens is only for dogs. Well, actually, they also board cats.

Brenda: “I was just kidding. However, it does sound like Pepper would enjoy staying at Aldens. I was planning to visit my mother in Arizona for a couple weeks anyhow. If I drop her off at Aldens I won’t have to bother my friend to drop in at the house twice a day. How do I sign Pepper up for Aldens Board & Train?”

Linda: It’s easy. Just call 815-728-0559 or visit their Web site at www.aldenskennels.com.
